Michael “Mickey” Bourdeau

Chief Executive Officer

Mickey Bourdeau brings to KaZee over thirty years experience in the Healthcare Information Technology industry. KaZee, formerly BCA, began operations January 1, 2014, when BCA sold its federal health business to Acentia, of Washington D.C. BCA was in business for 37 years providing information technology systems to the healthcare industry since 1977. As Chief Executive Officer, Mickey is responsible for all KaZee operations, marketing, sales, professional services and technical divisions.

Mickey has held several executive level positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Information Officer for over 20 plus years in the HealthCare Information Technology industry. He specializes in Electronic Medical Records, Practice Management systems, information systems and technology as well as in process improvement in correctional, nephrology and other healthcare settings. Mickey has both implemented and directed two of the largest state and county correctional EMR programs for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston servicing the 120 Texas Department of Criminal Justice prisons and for Parkland Hospital servicing the ten Dallas County adult and juvenile jails. Additionally, at UTMB, Mickey helped build and lead the largest healthcare telemedicine program in the country outside the Department of Defense in terms of real time physician to patient telemedicine encounters. Mickey began his information technology career as a programmer and analyst for Texas Instruments and Electronic Data Systems and later traveled the world in an executive business development role in the Electronic Medical Records industry. His expertise and leadership in all these areas serves KaZee and KaZee’s customers very well in terms of improving the quality of patient care and staff productivity while reducing associated costs.

Mickey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Computer Science at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia and then a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science while attending both Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas in Dallas, Texas. He also has certification in project management and Lean 6 Sigma Process Improvement methodology. Mickey is a member of the American Correctional Association, Phi Beta Kappa Society and won the NCAA Top-Five Student Athlete Award in pursuing his passion for sports, teamwork and competition.
